A trumpet player since he was 13 years old, Miles Davis trained by playing alongside the greatest, joining at 18 years old the band of Dizzie Gillespie and Charlie Parker.
His style goes from bebop to cool jazz and then to hard bop. He formed a quintet with John Coltrane and other musicians and recorded two of his most legendary albums, Milestones and Kind of blue.
Miles Davis’s style evolves further towards free jazz, then jazz-rock (with the album Bitches Brew), jazz-funk and jazz fusion; he even ends up inventing doo-bop, a mix of jazz and rap.
The Miles Davis poster pays homage to this tireless experimenter who always tried to push the limits of jazz.
